Motivate to Thrive - Solutions and Tools
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an MSW, I have spent my career using and refining a process-based technique inspired by resiliency and motivation research.
Motivate to Thrive is both the name of my clinical practice as well as my mission.
Motivate to Thrive is focused on solutions and tools to help parents successfully support children with ADHD, ADD or other learning differences.
How can I help your child and your family to thrive?
Read my book, Motivate, a toolkit inspired by my clinical work with families fostering routine and building transition skills. In Motivate I use a blend of positive words, visuals and charts to highlight the stories, conversations and actions that keep families strong, focused and connected throughout the day and week. Motivate is easy to read and walks parents through the process of helping their children find solutions for success at home and at school.
Family coaching using the Motivate to Thrive methodology. Many of the children I work with struggle with social skills, planning and organization. For these children, developing important executive functions nurture learning and growth at home and school. Executive function skills help children stop actions, notice and plan their own behavior allowing them to adapt to changing situations. I started using pictures and charts as an in-home social worker to help families create an environment that supports kindness and healing.
The picture charts, positive words and fun learning strategies in the
Motivate to Thrive approach help inspire and encourage children who are challenged with focus and organizing behaviors at school and home.
